Please note: exhaust system is designed to fit with Euro GPF, some slight modification is required if your Australian model does not have a GPF (gas particulate filter - Euro 6)
The Remus exhaust system includes an additional original BMW actuator and a Y-cable for connecting both actuators with the onboard electronics of the vehicle. The activation of the Remus exhaust valves is carried out using the original vehicle onboard electronics. Meaning you don't lose any of your original mode functionality.
The use of racing exhaust products and products which do not have EC approval (meeting street legal European standards) is generally not permitted on public roads.
When fitting REMUS sports silencers, cat-back exhaust systems and cat replacement pipes designed for use on closed tracks, it is advantageous to carry out an ECU remapping, in order to exploit the optimum performance of the exhaust system and to prevent the check engine from lighting up.
