Whats the difference between axle-back exhaust, cat-back exhaust gpf-back exhaust and turbo-back exhaust?
REMUS AXLE-BACK EXHAUST SYSTEM
We talk about Axle-Back when the sport exhaust system pipework starts "behind the rear axle", usually this includes only the rear muffler and the tail pipes/exhaust tips.
REMUS CAT-BACK EXHAUST SYSTEM
This exhaust system configuration refers to pipework up to the catalyst (catalytic convertor) or GPF (Gas Particulate Filter) all the way to the rear of the car including the tail pipes/exhaust tips.
REMUS TURBO-BACK EXHAUST SYSTEM
A Turbo-Back means that the Remus sport exhaust system has been manufactured to attach from the turbo all the way to the tail pipes/exhaust tips at the rear.
Axle-back is the quieter option exhaust modification, with Turbo-back being the loudest exhaust system replacement. The most common type of exhaust system fitted in our range is a Cat-back or now referred to as GPF-back on Euro 6 cars. Generally this configuration does not involve any cutting of original or OEM pipework and it's a great "happy medium" for most car enthusiasts in exhaust sound, exhaust power, and exhaust note.
